Let’s face it, the current situation is the worst. As an American-Made company, we, like you, are feeling the impact of COVID-19 and look forward to the day we can go back to adventuring freely.

We’re grateful to still be operating our Iowa production facility. While we’re no longer offering pick-up at our manufacturing locations, online sales will continue to be available. Currently, we are not experiencing any shipping delays. However, we ask that you account for carrier delays as well. We encourage you to order as early as possible for your 2021 adventures.

How long have KONG Coolers been available?

KONG Coolers was launched by rotational molding company Elkhart Plastics in May 2017. Elkhart Plastics is an expert in high-end rotomolded products. The company has been in business for 30+ years and is one of the top rotomolders in the U.S. Click here to read our story.

Where are the coolers made?

The coolers are manufactured at Elkhart Plastics’ facility in Atlantic, Iowa. Before that, they were made in the company’s Ridgefield, Washington, facility. The KONG Coolers team works from Washington, Iowa, and Indiana.

How are KONG Coolers different than other rotomolded coolers?

There are lots of innovative premium cooler companies out there, but there are many reasons why KONG Coolers stand out.

Made in America. Our coolers are manufactured and sold from an Elkhart Plastics facility in Atlantic, Iowa. This lets us keep prices low and quality high. We have always been Made in America, and we always will be.

Superior Ice Retention. KONG Coolers have been tested by third party reviewers to hold ice for 10+ days, which is longer than most other leading brands.

Accessories. KONG Coolers are well-known for our unique add-on accessories including the Divider, Cut’n Tray, Kicker, Bottle Biter, and Krush Guards. Many of our accessories are multi-functional. Shop accessories here.

Handles and Latches. KONG Coolers handles and latches are made of nylon, making them more sturdy and dependable. Most companies use rope handles and rubber latches.

Lid. KONG Coolers lids open up at a 45-degree angle while up against a hard surface, making them more user friendly.

Are the coolers bear-resistant?

Yes. All of our coolers (except the KONG 20) have been tested and certified by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC). Videos of the testing are available on our YouTube channel.

Dividers: Every KONG Cooler (except KONG 20) comes with one Divider. Aside from the KONG 20 & 25, every size KONG Cooler can be used with multiple dividers to either shelf or divide cooler contents. This allows you to divide your cooler into various sections for maximum storage. For example, dry goods can be kept on one side of the cooler while ice and beverages are on the other.

Cut’N Trays: This accessory can be mounted to the side of most KONG Coolers with a Kicker. Or, it can be stored on the upper rim in the KONG 50, KONG 70, KONG 110, and Cruiser. Official Cut’N Trays for each available size are sold separately in the accessories section of the website. Dividers can double as Cut’N Trays.

Bottle Biter: This is our most popular accessory. It can be added to any size KONG Cooler and is completely removable. Check out an installation video from one of our ambassadors.

What comes standard with each cooler purchase?

Each cooler (except the KONG 20) comes with one Divider. Other accessories are sold separately.

Where can I purchase KONG Coolers?

KONG Coolers are currently sold online at kongcoolers.com and on Amazon. The cooler can also be seen and purchased at select Elkhart Plastics locations and a handful of retail stores. See locations here.

Do you price match?

No. Under no circumstances will we match sale or regular prices of any other retailer.

How do I enter a promo code?

If you have a promo code, you will enter it at checkout in the box that says “Discount Code” in the right column. Be sure to enter your code before submitting payment, or it will not be applied.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Typically, website orders ship within 1-5 business days. Due to the everchanging nature of COVID-19 and supply chain delays, we recommend placing your orders for 2021 adventures as early as possible. Any known delays will be noted on individual product pages.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for customers in the continental U.S. on orders over $49. Shipping cost on orders under $49 depends on the item(s) purchased and the shipping address. Contact customer service if you would like an estimate.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we are set up to ship to customers in the continental U.S. only. Customers in Alaska and Hawaii can contact customer service if interested in paying for shipping.

What does your packaging look like?

All coolers are shipped in a branded box with the KONG Coolers logo on the outside. Accessories and apparel are shipped in non-branded packaging. We know this can be important for customers purchasing gifts!

What is your 30-Day Guarantee and Return Policy?

 

  • Returns will be accepted within 30 days of the date of purchase, no questions asked.
  • Returns are only available on orders made through kongcoolers.com.
  • All returns and exchanges are at the discretion of KONG Coolers.
  • Products must be in new and unused condition and must be in the original box or similar packaging.
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs. All original and return shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • For exchanges, please return your items for a full refund, then place a new order for the correct items. Exchanges for items purchased outside kongcoolers.com will not be accepted.

 

How to Ship Back Your Return

 

  • Include a copy of the original packing slip that came with your order, your email order confirmation, and/or your KNG number. Returns cannot be accepted without proof of order. If you need help, contact customer service.
  • Pack your return and proof of order in the original box or equally protective packaging.
  • Ship via a trackable method. We recommend UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS with tracking and signature confirmation. KONG Coolers is not responsible for lost shipments if proof of delivery cannot be provided.

  • Refunds will be processed and credited to the original purchasers credit card within 5 business days of receiving the returned merchandise. KONG Coolers does not offer store credit or gift cards.

 

Is there a warranty on KONG Coolers?

Yes, we offer a limited lifetime warranty that extends to the original owner only. The box is covered for a lifetime, and the handles and latches are covered for five years. The limited lifetime warranty does not cover general wear and tear. Full details about our warranty policy are available here.

Where do you announce sales?

We announce sales and promotions via email and social media. You can scroll to the bottom of this web page to find links to our social media and email sign up form.

Do you offer a discount to active military, veterans, first responders, or teachers?

Yes. We're partnered with GovX to thank these individuals for their service. Once you've added an item to your cart, the GovX icon will appear at the bottom of the cart page. Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?
