KONG Coolers 100% Made in the USA

First and foremost, we are a USA based manufacturer.  That means we own and operate the factories our premium hardsided KONG Coolers get crafted in.  But that's getting ahead of ourselves...

Since the 1980's, we've been working on products that have to retain rigidity, durability, and most importantly - temperature.  It started with massive containers used to store the catch on frigid Alaskan crabbing vessels.  As we found, that's pretty much the toughest environment on earth.  Since then, we've worked in countless industries that require precision design, engineering, and manufacturing.

Like most of you, we've seen and been impacted by the rise in offshoring over the last few decades.  Lower labor costs, government subsidies, and short term increased profits are all reasons most products we all use are now made abroad.

However, we believe that a strong local workforce breeds a strong local economy and in turn a cycle for continued growth here stateside.  The more we can pay employees in our local area, the more those dollars get put back to work in other local industries, in turn helping other businesses.  It's a simple, sustainable system where we all benefit.

So when six of our top engineers and designers invested years of research, testing, and development into a perfect cooler, and finally nailed it - we knew there was only one way and one place to make it.  Right here, at our factories, in the USA.

True, this is the opposite of what most other cooler companies are doing.  And yes, this is the "hard way".  But it's the "right way".  We're betting big that developing and building the best product, made to last a lifetime, here in the USA is part of the next revolution, and we're thrilled to be among the first companies putting this into practice.
